The prayer skill is used to unlock different prayer abilities as you progress the skill.
Paragon currently only has one prayer book, but there are hopes that an additional prayer book will be added.
Training
The primary method of training prayer is through burying bones, or using bones on an altar such as the one at the home area.
Keep in mind the base experience for each of these bones is before your game modes experience multiplier is applied, and before any experience boosts are applied.
